In serving Greater Butts County, our vision is to create a community of health and well being where citizens are able to access available resources.

We take a holistic approach to community health by addressing the five areas of vision, hunger, childhood cancer, diabetes, and environmental.

Over the years, we have initiated leadership opportunities for high school students, recycled hundreds of eyeglasses worldwide, offered numerous opportunities for the community to volunteer time and resources to further the goals of the Lions Club.
Matt has been a Lions Club member since 2022 and has served as Tail Twister and Membership Chair. A longtime Jackson resident, he is actively involved in the community and serves on several county boards. He has also served twice as president of the Butts County Rotary Club and received the Boy Scouts of America Golden Eagle Award in March 2023.
Matt brings 28 years of law enforcement experience and currently serves as Chief of Police for the Jackson Police Department.
